All about Reece...

Here we are...
It's the 17th of November,
and I'm already asking...
WHERE DID NOVEMBER GO???
To make it worse, I've only blogged once, until today!

Am I working so hard,
that I can't find the time to enjoy my family?

Bare with me,
I'm so desperate for a post,
that I'm stretching here!

Two Sunday's ago,
Reece woke up with a horrible pain in his leg.
He wouldn't bend it.
In fact,
I had heard him moan all night,
as he was in pain just from tossing and turning.

I drug him out of the top bunk,
not without tears,
and brought him to my room.
I was sure it was nothing,
but was fearing the worst!
I was texting the few people I do know in McPherson,
to see if there was a walk in doctor,
instead of the ER.
No such thing here.
(One reason to miss KC)

The poor boy was miserable!
He was so upset that he couldn't sit "criss cross applesauce."
This is a big part of Kindergarten life,
so I could totally feel his pain. ;)

Finally,
he managed to hobble to the bathroom.
It was the most pitiful thing ever.
When he made it back,
he told me that he thought Halloween candy
would make things better.

Ha! Ha!

I sent Jake to get some candy,
and he came back with a Twix.
Reece rejected it!!!
It wasn't good enough for him at 7:00 am!
He weaseled his way into getting breakfast in my bed.
I brought him a bagel,
with a side of M&M's.
M&M's went over well.
And why not?
There are more than ONE in the packs....
to a kid,
that's a HUGE deal!

So what happened?
I won't ever know,
but I assume he pulled a muscle,
while running all day on the Christmas Tree Farm,
on Saturday.
I was decorating with my sisters,
and the kids were enjoying the beautiful November weather.

Reece quit hobbling after a few days,
but boy did he milk it,
until the pain was gone....

Reece has also taught himself how to whistle.
Now, whatever he does, he's whistling.
It's darling,
but I did have to remind him that we can't do this at school.
I'm sure that won't be a problem.

Lastly,
Reece's wish list for his Birthday/Christmas is pretty simple.

He wants a kid size Snuggie,
and a fishing pole!

How funny!
At least I find this list silly...
Last year all he wanted was snow.
Amazing how things change in just one year.

How cute that he wished for snow last year! My girls have gone on and on about their list...although I'm glad they don't ask for snow for Christmas. Its not something likely to happen down here. :)

What a cutie. That will make your Christmas shopping a breeze.

His pains sound like they could have been growing pains. M&Ms always make those better.
I know what you mean about time flying! December is going to be here and gone in a flash.
