March 2017

Riley's first high school basketball season wrapped up with a nice ceremony. Reece kept playing basketball-finally beating their rivals. Reece had his first ever band concert and I bought myself a special, personalized ring from my friend, Tommi. I also casually mentioned to Jake that we should rebuild the deck...so the next day we did! Errr....the boys did. Haha! =p

February 2017

Basketball. Skiing. Pizza.
Hmmmm....this sounds a lot like January.
Actually, February was a bittersweet month that brought on so many emotions.
February 6th, my beautiful niece, Camryn, was diagnosed
with cancer. T-Cell Lyphoma. A week later her baby sister was born, Linley Kait.
I turned 35 on the 15th, and my present was a flight home to see my family. It was the best gift ever.
Sadly, on my last day visiting and trying to help out, my baby niece was admitted into the hospital with RSV. She was in there for weeks...luckily the same hospital as Camryn. So I went to KC with one niece in the hospital and left with two nieces in the hospital.
The timing of my visit couldn't have been any better- I got to watch 3 of my nephews compete at state swimming all as Freshman... I'm the aunt to some pretty amazing athletes.
2017 was a roller coaster...hoping 2018 evens out a bit!

January 2017

I'm back!! Just long enough to recap our 2017... turns out my blogging frustrations were from an old, slow PC. We upgraded back in March, but the boys have had me running ever since. This monthly recap will have to do!

January was basketball. Snow. Skiing. Pizza. And Reece got an award at school-but I can't remember why? HA HA.

Ultimately, our entire year seemed to involve a lot of basketball. Riley played his first year in high school ball- which is way more time consuming than I recall my high school days being. Reece played rec ball and a competitive local "Slam League"...and a few tournament trips to Denver in the mix. Good thing I'm a big fan of the sport!

ᗷᒪOG ᖴIᑎᗩᒪE

Check out my most "liked" pictures of 2016!
Poor Riley got cropped out of a couple...sad. :(
2016 threw some obstacles our way, but we have so much to be grateful for! We're really catching on to this living and loving every day of our life thing! Yay us!

Riley has pushed himself in basketball. It did not go unnoticed by the varsity coach. After  being one of the only C Team players to make it to every single "voluntary" practice over break, he was gifted these brand new Stephen Curry shoes. Pretty sweet! He's just so awesome and I'm so proud!

Reece is starting his basketball season too... he's only had a few practices. Once January rolls around we are going to be crazy busy with games. I think I'm going to love it, but the next couple months will be flying by!

So you may have caught on to this blog title...I'm debating on hanging up my blogging shoes. I can't guarantee I will not hop back on, but let's face it...I'm not doing so well at keeping up.

The embarrassing truth is, as technology evolves, I get stressed out figuring out what's changed since the last time I blogged and why transferring my pictures seem to be getting more and more difficult. Blogging has literally become a stressful job! Let face it--I've got 99 problems, and technology is about 90 of them!! That, and as the boys get older, my time seems to get more limited by the day. So...this may be my last post or maybe my last post just for a long while. (It's sad just typing these words.) We will see how things playout. Have a blessed 2017 friends!!

So I have a new hobby! I'm obsessed with my lashes (just ask Jake)... I've loved all of my R+F products because of how much they have rescued my acne prone skin, buuuut these results from Lash Boost have been almost hard to believe! Even when I see my very own pics!!
