First real hike of the season is a wrap. We headed to Fruita, CO where summer seems to have fully set in. It went from cold and rainy to dry and hot around here...hoping it's not the trend of the summer. This hike was a scorcher, but we survived. At any time we found shade where all of us could fit, we were sure to stop. It felt 20 degrees cooler in the shade.

This is when wearing nothing but black can backfire. I think Riley was the most uncomfortable in his wardrobe of choice. Teens...

So excited to start hiking again!

As if the previous day wasn't hard enough...my baby is officially done with elementary!! His continuation was a luau theme.

Color Pop worked a little better here... last day of 5th grade.

After a ton of fun and an emotionally draining two day, we ended up by the river to just enjoy each other! Hello summer!!

Here we are!! Riley's final day of middle school!
*sniff sniff*
So bizarre thinking that Riley's final day of elementary school was just weeks before we moved to Colorado.
As you can see, Riley dressed up of the occasion... this is his current style. He wears comfy clothes...all black or  gray. It's hard getting this kid in anything else.

I used color pop for this, but the sun didn't allow much color to actually pop! Still a perfect picture to me!
