Birthday Snow

Apparently, Reece wanted 2 things for his Birthday. Snow and people.

Not long after we opened presents, Reece asked...

"When do all the people come over to celebrate me?"

I couldn't stop laughing!! Apparently, Mom and Dad, weren't enough people to celebrate Reece.

Thankfully, Aunt Jaime has a soft spot for her nephews. She had texted to ask if Reece was upset that there was no snow on the ground. I told her that he hadn't really cared, but shared his "celebrate me" line. That was enough for her to head this way. Along with her, she brought Reece a snowglobe. That way it could always snow on his Birthday and Christmas! Yay for great Aunts!! Reece loved it, and I thought is was just so sweet!

And guess what!? It finally snowed at 6:30 pm. It didn't last long, but it covered the ground completely. It will probably be gone by morning, but it snowed on December 8th, 2009!!

My baby turns 5 today!!!

Happy Birthday Reece! You are such a special kiddo! I couldn't imagine not having you here, bouncing off the walls everyday, morning to night, accumulating more energy as the day goes on.
We woke up and opened presents. Reece got some new Wii games. (Mario Galaxy & Wario: Shake It) He also got a big "Optimus Prime" toy, that Jake has been trying to transform for an hour now. Why are toys so difficult? =D
On the Birthday schedule for today, we will enjoy cake before Dad goes to work. Which means it will be our lunch. Then, Reece and I will be hoping for snow. All Reece wants is snow. Somewhere in his head he got the idea that snow=Birthday & Christmas. So mother~nature better pull through...

Liked, Loved, etc...

So, I recently decided to add my "like" buttons on my blog. I had been toying with the idea for awhile, and I just finally did it. My reason to finally do this was, I have some family that read my blog regularly, but they never take the time to create a log in, and leave comments. I don't get many comments either, so I don't feel anyone is even checking my blog. Really, I would still blog if no one checked it. It's the best journal I have. But I always enjoy getting a reaction from my blogging, so this is an easy way to respond. I'm not trying to make anyone feel that they have to have a reaction to my posts, but since I've started this, I can already feel as though people care to check into our lives and get an update on what we're doing, and I appreciate this. I love comments more, but I like to see others liking what we're doing. Thanks blogging and non-blogging friends! I'm excited, because I am going to turn my blog into a book at the end of '09. My goal will be to do this every year, and I will love having the comments to look back on too!

WoW!! We got a wonderful surprise in the mail today!!

Ken and Sally got us a camcorder!! Our kids have lived a combined 12+ years, and we will finally be able to catch some of their awesomeness on DVD!!! Yay! Thank you so much! Wish you were closer so we could give you an even better thanks!! Love you guys!

Riley's 1st Basketball Practice

Tuesday, was Riley's first official b-ball practice.

He loved it!

Not sure why they had 10 foot goals, or why 4 teams had to practice in the gym at the same time, but our team will be most in shape! =D

Games start on January 9th... can't wait.
